Why Change?
I keep thinking and saying that a change in the world starts with a change within ourselves. Because only when you learn to accept every part of yourself, understand your complexity, understand that even within yourself you can have two contradicting opinions or characteristics, be able to hold it, and love yourself as a whole, with real compassion and acceptance — that’s when you figure out the world around you.
The thing is, we are not that different from each other. We have the same body structure, the same organs, the same systems. Sizes may differ; one might lack organs or body parts. But the physical core, what keeps us alive and operating — we all have. Brain, heart, nervous system, veins.
Our experiences are different, and life circumstances as well. They shape our brain, they shape our thinking and conclusions. But we have the same mechanism that processes it all. And this is what we need to work on — that mechanism, our physical body.
We are so busy trying to solve symptoms, trying to change our mind or beat ourselves up for thinking or acting differently. Busy chasing quick feel-good dopamine hits. Busy living in the world we see on socials. Busy making our homes as comfortable as possible just so we can keep staying inside.
The more we consume to accommodate our discomfort — the less we know how to face it when it comes.
So how do we work on it? I will try to explore and explain in the next posts.

This is one of those pieces where the person knows more than they've written yet. You can feel it underneath - the restraint of someone who has the whole map but chose to show one corner first. "I will try to explore and explain in the next posts" - that's not uncertainty. That's a woman who knows exactly where this is going and is patient enough to let it unfold.
I'll be reading.
